ARRIVED!

So, I AM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I was greeted by my first hurricane! lol I made a comment to the security gaurd at the commons clubhouse and he was like, you'll be able to set your watch to it at 4:30 every day this happens. Oh, So I am in the commons and two of my roommates are Japanese and two more are from Germany and we're still waiting for one more! Today was absolutely amazing.. I went shopping at Wal-mart and met up with Cherish, Allie, Ty, and Matt who met this other Canadian From PEI named Caitlin who is pretty much my flippin TWIN she's HILARIOUS! Well, we got back to commons, got showered and dressed and then we went and picked Matt up who lives a few houses down from me and then went to Patterson court to pick up the rest of the gang. about 8 of us went out for dinner in downtown disney... we went to earl of sandwich for dinner. best. dinner. ever! We walked around downtown disney for a bit... it's GORGEOUS there!!! I completely fell in love. I think I'm going to fall in love about a million times while I'm here. It is so beautiful. As I was walking downtown disney, I turned to ty and caitlin and was like... I can't remember a time when I have been this TRUELY happy... I'm just in awe of everything around me. This was the best decision of my life!

24 hours till take off!

Well, My visa is STILL not in my hands yet... I am having a minor meltdown, but the tracking said it left barrie at 6am this morning so hopefully it shows up any minute! I am going out for lunch to say bye to my Dad and then the moment the visa arrives we are heading to Burlington. We are going to stay at my Mom's boyfriend's place for the night since he lives only an hour and a bit from the airport. (I'm flying out of buffalo) I also need to go shopping when I get to Burlington for a new outfit for traditions. I had a gorgeous dress/suit thing I was planning on wearing but the dry cleaners ruined it... I was devestated! Nothing really went right for me on friday! Anyways, just wanted to do my last canadian post! I have to do some more things before I leave but my next post will be from sunny florida!!!

Winding down...

Well,
I am at the 5 days mark. I had a bit of a scare when I hadn't received my visa but I have just received an email telling me it would be here by tomorrow. So, I am still a little worried, but once it is in my hand, I will feel a million times better!

I absolutly cannot wait to get there! I'm pretty much done my packing. My party is on saturday and today is my last day of work!! I can't believe I am doing all of my lasts here in Collingwood cuz as of tomorrow I won't really be here anymore. I'm going up to the cottage tomorrow until sunday and then sunday I am heading off to burlington to meet up with Kyla (who is flying out of buffalo with me!) and staying at my mom's boyfriends place cuz its closer to the airport.

I am getting so anxious... is it time to leave yet?! Well, this will probably be my last Canadian post, till orlando... have a good one!!!

Pre-union!

Wow! What an exciting day yesterday was!

Ty (who is my arrivial date) and Colin (who comes 14 days after Ty and I!) decided to come visit me here in Collingwood! They showed up around 12:30ish and then we decided to go up to the Village at Blue Mountain where we went for lunch and then went around Collingwood and Wasaga beach. I've never realized there were soooo many "canadian-y" type things in Collingwood! We stopped in and ty surprised his grandparents who live in the town next to me. Cutest people ever! They were so super nice! We then went out for dinner and really just had a total blast!

Seeing them just made Disney seem so much more real. They were an absolute blast... I met them at the interviews but still.... I don't think any of us were in our right frames of mind we were all soooo nervous... well at least I was so I wasn't the most social person in the world! It was nice to be in that excited frame of mind knowing we are all going sooo soon! I can't believe I leave so soon... I still have sooo much to do! I got my proper Disney package so that was pretty exciting... ALSO I finally got a mention in Matt's vlog! We had a bit of a worry when the UK folks were told there was some issues and may have to push back their arrivial date to june 24th or later... but everything was sorted and Matt had his interview at the embassey and everything is back on track! I'm so excited for June 10th! I'm not sure if I'm more excited about working at Disney or meeting these awesome people I have been talking to; Cherish, Kyla, Allie, Kike, of course Matt, and everyone else!

Disney Package!

So today was my next step towards Disney, I moved the rest of my stuff home from school and got greeted at the door by my mom telling me my Disney package had arrived.. so that was a bit of a bonus in my dreary day! Moving sucks! haha so I finally get everything all moved to the basement and finally sit down to check out my Disney package... the package is for DisneyLAND staff members! they sent me the wrong package! so I need to call in the morning and get things fixed. So the waiting begins again. I'm totally not nervous at all. The other people I have met that are going down the same day as me are absolutly AWESOME.. and even though he doesn't mention me in his vlog (video blog for ppl who don't know!) you should check out his blog!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRbEfzqrs78

Some of the other Canadians are going down are absolutly brilliant... they always crack me up and we all have the same sense of humour. It is going to be an AMAZING year with these people! I've met other people from Mexico.. I've got my own personal tour guide in cancun when I go... I just need to teach him how to ski!, Italy, germany, and a few from the UK. (The fella from the video is from the UK if you didn't guess that..lol)

I cannot believe it's only 41-almost 40 days away... just a little over a month until I leave! I'll keep you guys posted on whats happening!

My First Post!!!

Wow.. what a day so far!!!
I got a phone call at 10:30 this morning... it was Kristin from Yummy jobs... Yummy jobs took over Cast-a-way, the original recruiting agency that I applied with and when Yummy took over, we all got an email telling us that we would get a phone call in about 4 weeks telling us where we stand... well... its about the three week mark since I got that email so when I heard Kristin from Yummy, I tried to not get that excited. She wasted no time and told me there was a position open June 10th in merchandise and would I be interested. I accepted the offer and then proceeded to call every single person I knew! So this blog will be all about my Disney Adventures so keep posted for new posts! 67 days till I am ORLANDO BOUND!
